SUGAR LAND, Texas – A 22-year-old Sugar Land man was charged with eight felonies after he was stopped for speeding in Richmond, police said.
Richmond police pulled over the driver for traveling too fast in the 1000 block of Jackson Street late Monday night.
Police said the driver, Travis Allen Dahringer, was initially only going to receive a warning at first, until the officer recognized an odor coming from the vehicle.
Officers then found marijuana and several other types of drugs. After it was all sorted out, Dahringer was charged with seven counts of manufacturing and delivery of narcotics and one count of possession of marijuana.
Dahringer was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail where he is awaiting bond.
