RICHMOND, Texas – Three suspects were facing charges after they were arrested Wednesday near the Pecan Grove subdivision.

Shannon Ward, 22; Calvin Landor, 23; and Xavier Cain, 21, are all charged with burglary of a habitation. Ward and Landor are also charged with evading arrest.

Fort Bend County deputies were called to a home in the 1900 block of Old Prairie Court in Pecan Grove around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday by a resident who reported seeing two suspicious men entering the fenced yard of a home.

The neighbor said the same men later got into a vehicle and left, so he wrote down the license plate number and gave it to deputies.

Later that day, a deputy with the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office spotted the vehicle near the intersection of FM 359 and US 90A.

When that deputy, along with Fort Bend County deputies, stopped the car, one of the suspects stayed inside, but the other two jumped out and tried to run away.

Deputies quickly chased them down, and all three men were taken to the Fort Bend County Jail.

Investigators said they found more than $1,700 worth of jewelry and cash on the suspects.
