HOUSTON—Investigators are hoping an increased reward will help them find the person responsible for a brutal slaying at a check-cashing store.

Crime Stoppers and Dolex Dollar Express are now offering $15,000 for information on the murder of Francellia Palomares.

Palomares was working at the Dolex Dollar Express in the 2400 block of Fulton on Nov. 6. Around 8 p.m., her body was found beaten and strangled in the back room of the store.

Anyone who may have seen any unusual activity around the store that afternoon or early evening is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
