Reward offered for suspect in fatal shooting of Houston father

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for help finding a man charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of a Houston father.

Jawon Carson, 35, was found on Dec. 13, 2013, under a bridge located on the 4500 block of Richey Road, after being shot in his home. 

Investigators with the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division later located the vehicle used during the murder and the dumping of Carson’s body. 

Anthony “Yolie” Johnson was identified as the suspect and was subsequently charged with capital murder.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the suspect’s arrest.  Anyone with information can call 713-222-TIPS (8477).  You can also text TIP610, plus your tip to CRIMES (274637). 

Carson's family says he was a father of three and a student at Lone Star College.
