HOUSTON – The woman who was shot and wounded near Texas A&M Monday is from Houston.

Barbara Holdsworth, 51, was in College Station to help her Aggie daughter, Sarah Holdsworth, move. Sarah was moving away from the neighborhood where the shooting happened.

Thomas Caffall, 35, opened fire near Kyle Field and killed a constable and a male civilian Monday afternoon. He wounded Holdsworth, who was driving by in a blue SUV, and a police officer before police shot him to death.

Holdsworth underwent surgery Monday and remains in serious condition at St. Joseph's Hospital in College Station.
