Pregnant woman killed during robbery in southwest Houston club

HOUSTON -- Police are trying to figure out who murdered a pregnant woman inside a southwest Houston strip club.

The victim was found at about 5:25 p.m. Saturday at the Eclipse Gentlemen's Club on South Gessner near Bellaire.

Police believe Maria Lucrecia, 27, of Houston, was killed during a robbery.  Lucrecia worked as a cleaning lady at the club.

Police said the club was closed at the time, and when the woman's husband couldn't reach her he called for help.

Investigators said Lucrecia suffered blunt force trauma to the head and she was pronouced dead at the scene. Lucrecia was five months pregnant.

The suspect got away with more than a thousand dollars from a register.
