HOUSTON – A Precinct 4 deputy constable was recovering Wednesday afternoon after a wild chase in northwest Harris County.
It all started when authorities were called about a burglary in progress at a home in the area.
“I saw the vehicle when it stopped in front of the house and I knew something was wrong because it sat there for a while, and I came to the window and backed into my neighbors driveway,” a resident said.
A deputy arrived just in time to see the suspects driving off, and a chase ensued.
It ended when the suspects crashed into a car on Kuykendahl and Ella.
The constable was able to arrest one of the suspects, but was injured during the struggle.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The second suspect fled the scene.
