HOUSTON – Authorities arrested one suspect and are searching for two others in connection with a robbery at a southwest Houston money loan services shop Thursday afternoon.
The Houston Police Department said that just after 2 p.m. two armed men walked into the EZ Money Loan Services located in the 6000 block of Bellaire Boulevard near Renwick Drive.
One of the suspects held a gun to a female clerk’s head and demanded money, police said. After she gave them a bag of cash, the two men then exited the shop.
One of the suspects fled in gray Toyota Tundra he carjacked from an innocent bystander at a stoplight on Bellaire.
Police searched for the second suspect in the nearby Cherry Cove Apartments located in the 5900 block of Bissonnet, but found nothing.
Police are also searching for a female suspect they believe was waiting in a getaway car in the parking lot of the EZ Loan.
