HOUSTON -- Crime Stoppers and HPD Homicide Investigators are asking the public’s help in solving last Friday’s murder of 28-year-old Iveth Leila Munoz in northeast Harris County.

Police said on October 30, Iveth Munoz was at home in her apartment in the 16000 block of Cotillion. Around 12:30 p.m., she heard a knock on her door and went to answer it. An intruder overpowered Munoz and pushed his way inside her apartment. A few hours later, one of her neighbors decided to check on Ms. Munoz and discovered her dead. The male who forced his way in was not in the apartment.

Police said the suspect appears to be between 25 to 27 year of age and between five-feet-seven and five-feet-ten inches tall, with a thin build. He has some pock marks on his face and a sun tattoo on his left elbow.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information is urged to call 713-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit their tips online at
