MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Conroe and Shenandoah police are hunting for the same robber who hit hotels in both cities Thursday night.

The same black male, in his mid 20’s, about 5’7” tall with a medium build, a moustache, and wearing the same white hoodie with a Fila logo on the front and back, was captured on surveillance cameras as he robbed the front desk clerk at the La Quinta Inn at 28673 I-45 north at approximately 9 p.m.

An hour later and 13 miles farther north, surveillance cameras captured the same suspect in the lobby of the Comfort Inn at 1115 League Line Road. In each robbery the man threatened the desk clerk with a handgun and escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

“The hope is that if we can catch him we can link him to many crimes. Usually if you’re going to do it twice you’re going to do it again,” said Sgt. Brent Stowe with Conroe PD. “So hopefully if there are any other cases out there we can reach out to them (other police departments). Maybe they have some leads that will help us solve our cases.”

If you have any information or recognize this suspect please contact Sgt. Stowe with Conroe PD at (936) 522-3224 or Sgt. Shaw with Shenandoah PD at (281) 367-8952.
