HOUSTON – Police are looking for the driver of an old Dodge minivan that rear-ended a car sending it into a tree early Saturday in southwest Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. at West Fuqua and Monrad. They said the car was heading east on Fuqua when the minivan slammed into the back end of the car, causing it to skid off the road.
The car hit a tree and caught on fire, police said. The driver of the car was able to get out as his car caught fire.
He’s in the hospital recovering.
Investigators said the van then took off and fled the scene.
