HOUSTON – A traffic stop quickly turned into a police chase Friday night and ended with an SUV rolling over in north Houston, deputies said.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident started around 11 p.m. on East Hardy Road at Mitchell.
Deputies said an officer tried to pull a driver over, but the man took off going about 100 miles per hour.
Eventually, the suspect driver lost control, hit a culvert and flipped over several times, deputies said. The driver and a passenger are expected to be fine.
Deputies said the SUV was not stolen, but believe both men had been drinking.
