HOUSTON—Police were on the hunt Monday for a 21-year-old Houston man accused in the beating death of his girlfriend’s 4-year-old son.

Michael Allen Seaton is charged with capital murder. The victim’s mother, Britni Bereasa Glover, 23, is charged with injury to a child by omission.

According to police, they found the victim, Dustyn Skyler Roff, dead at his mother’s apartment in the 7100 block of Hillcroft Friday morning.

Investigators said they had never seen anything like it; that the little boy was bruised from head to toe.

Glover, a former stripper who now works at a day care, was arrested at the scene.

She implicated her boyfriend, Seaton, in Dustyn’s death.

The boy’s biological father, Charles Roff, spoke to reporters at a press conference Monday afternoon.

"I never suspected that I would be standing here today," Roff said.

He said he’d been fighting with Glover, his soon-to-be ex-wife, for custody of his son.

Police said Glover watched Seaton beat her son on Thursday night. After the beating, Seaton left, and Glover went to bed.

She told police the little boy complained of stomach pains before he went to sleep.

When Glover woke up, she found Dustyn dead in his bedroom.

A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said they heard Glover’s screams.

"I heard this lady screaming, ‘My baby! My baby! Help! Help," the neighbor recalled. "I told her, ‘The baby is gone. That’s it. He’s gone.’"

Investigators said it wasn’t the first time Seaton beat the boy. When they found his body, some of his injuries were old and healing, while others were fresh.

"My son was 4 years old. He was not old enough to harm anyone or deserve any of what he received," Roff said.

Police said Seaton, who is currently on probation for assaulting a 2-year-old in Lee County, may still be in the Houston area -- but he may be in Cameron County, where his family lives.

Anyone with information on Seaton’s whereabouts is asked to call HPD Homicide at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
