HOUSTON – A man arguing with his girlfriend was shot and killed by an off-duty Houston police officer Friday.
It happened around noon at the Old Farm Apartments on Old Farm Road.
Police said the officer was working a second job as security at the complex when he heard a woman scream.
Officer J. Falcon said he saw a man trying to pull his girlfriend out of the broken window of her car.
When the officer tried to intervene, he said the suspect pulled out a gun.
Officer Falcon opened fire and killed the man.
The woman was not seriously hurt.
HPD said Officer Falcon will be put on administrative duties while the shooting is investigated.
