HOUSTON – Police are searching for answers after finding a man lying dead in a parking lot outside a bar early Saturday morning. It happened in the 2000 block of Wirt Road at Hammerly in west Houston.

Police said around 3:30 a.m., a male bar patron got into some sort of altercation with another person. The man was shot an unknown number of times, then dragged into the parking lot and left to die.
Police do not know if the suspect or bar employees dragged the man outside. Police said they have very few witnesses and they are not saying much. A few of them were taken downtown for questioning.
