HOUSTON – The search is on for two suspects who robbed a game room and gunned down one of its employees Monday.
It happened in the 11900 block of Aldine Westfield in northeast Harris County.
Police said around 6:30 p.m., two men forced their way into the game room and shot a female employee in the face, killing her.
Authorities said they believe the robbery was motive. Police said the game room appears to be paying winnings in cash, which is illegal. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said they do not have a good description of the suspects or the getaway vehicle. They said because of the nature of the business, witnesses fled the scene.
"We are in desperate need of talking to them to get a better description and any other information that they may have," said Sgt. Ben Beall. "We are interested in solving a capital murder here. We are not interested in talking to them about 8-liners or any type of gambling."
Undercover investigators were seen removing three of the gaming machines from the building early Tuesday morning.
