HOUSTON – Authorities say a commercial airline pilot was caught trying to smuggle cocaine from South America to Houston.

Stanley Hill, 49, is accused of putting cocaine into the fingertips of rubber gloves and swallowing them before taking a flight as a passenger to Houston.

Hill was forced to call 911 when the plane landed because one of the packages broke open inside of him.

He was released from a Houston hospital and is in police custody. His bond is set at $500,000.
