PEARL, Miss. -- A Pasadena, Texas woman was arrested in Mississippi on Monday for possession of a controlled substance.
Police said Mary Belinda Martinez, 51, was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 20 in Pearl, Mississippi.
Pearl police found more than six kilos of “Ice,” a form of methamphetamine, hidden in her vehicle. Officials said the street value of the drugs was $260,000.
Martinez was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
She appeared in Pearl Municipal Court on Thursday. Bond was set at $400,000.
