PASADENA, Texas—A Pasadena man was arrested after police say he killed his own cat.
Ricardo Payta-Brondo, 31, has been charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals, a felony.
According to court documents, Payta-Brondo was at his home in the 2730 block of Lafferty on Sunday when he struck the cat with such force that it died.
It's not clear why Payta-Brondo killed the animal.
He was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond.
