HOUSTON – One person is dead and two others were wounded during a shooting at a party late Saturday night in northwest Houston, deputies said.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, at about 10:30 p.m., deputies were called to a shooting at the Champions Townhomes on the Greens located in the 11200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive.
When deputies arrived, they found three people with gunshot wounds after someone open fire on a large group of people having a party at the building. There were said to be as many as 100 people in attendance.
The three shooting victims were taken to Willowbrook Methodist Hospital, deputies said. Stanley Ford, 22, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The two other victims were identified as Telvin Gilbert, 18, and a16-year-old male.
Deputies said that Gilbert had been shot in the leg, while the 16-year-old had been shot in the foot.
No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide.
