HOUSTON – Police said a Houston man led them on a high-speed chase right to his own driveway Friday night in north Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, an officer felt something hit his patrol unit at 11 p.m. while he was parked by a road near Aldine Westfield and Hopper. The officer saw a pickup pass by at the same time, and thought someone in the truck may have thrown something at his car.
The officer said that the pickup was speeding and traveling at a speed of more than 90 mph through residential streets.
The driver would not pull over and led the officer on a chase, but finally surrendered when he reached his residence, police said.
The suspect driver faces felony evading charges.
