HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies say they recovered the missing pickup truck of a woman who was found dead along with her mother Thursday in northwest Harris County.

Investigators say Vonda Gideon, 52, and Margaret Gideon, 75, had been dead at least a week inside their home on Kirkleigh Street.

The women had trauma to their bodies, but were so badly decomposed, investigators couldn’t immediately determine what caused their death.

Vonda Gideon was a real estate agent and her truck was wrapped with a Remax logo.  Her truck was found Thursday night in the 10900 block of Interstate 10 East. Detectives are still looking for Vonda Gideon’s brother, 55-year-old Mark Gideon. He was named a “person of interest.”

Deputies said the mother and daughter called 911 last week when Mark Gideon refused to leave the house.

“There has been a history of violence,” said Sgt. Ben Beall of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. “Patrol units were out here twice this month already, and last information we had was that he was basically homeless, and they took him in to try to give him assistance.”

Investigators are asking anyone who knows where he might be to please call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
