HOUSTON – Masked men with guns robbed the Family Dollar store on Crosstimbers west of the North Freeway late Wednesday.

The robbery was reported around 8:30 p.m., according to officers with the Houston Police Department.

Police said three men with ski masks held the workers and customers at gunpoint while they took money from the register. Customers were also robbed, police said.

The men fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

HPD said these men may be tied to a rash of crimes on the northside in the last 24 hours. Among the businesses robbed were a Shell station, a McDonald's, and a Valero station.
