HOUSTON –- A man with a box cutter walked into the county jail in downtown Houston early Friday and allegedly got into a fight with a deputy before getting shot with a Taser.

Deputies said it happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Harris County jail on San Jacinto. The suspect walked into the jail’s front entrance and told deputies he wanted to stay there. The man then got into an argument with a deputy and punched him, according to authorities.

Police said the deputy responded by discharging his Taser gun on the suspect. He was then taken into custody.
