Cypress home invasion
CYPRESS, Texas – A man believed to be in his 20s was shot and killed Friday night in a possible home invasion in northwest Harris County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said that when they arrived at about 10 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Barker Cypress near Western Pass, they found the shooting victim lying near the front door of one of the third-floor units.
Detectives said there were two men, including the renter, inside the apartment when they arrived. The two are cooperating with the investigation.
The shooting victim may have tried to force his way in when the occupants refused to open the door to the apartment. He could have been shot while trying to enter the apartment, detectives said.
Detectives said that no arrests have been made, but that they are interviewing neighbors to determine what exactly occurred Friday night.
