HOUSTON—Surveillance video shows a man pouring gasoline and threatening to set a fire during a robbery inside a Pasadena convenience store.

It happened just before 10 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the Big C Market located in the 2500 block of Preston.

The man entered the store carrying a gas can, then walked to the beer cooler and picked up a four pack of Bud Light & Clamato, police said. The video shows him approaching the cashier, placing the beer on the counter and then pouring gas on the floor along the front of the counter. Police said he told the clerk to give him money, or he would burn the building down, then he began flicking a lighter.

The clerk gave the man cash and then the robber took the money and beer and left the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pasadena Police Department at 713-477-1221; or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).

If any Crime Stoppers information leads to an arrest or the filing of felony charges, the tipster will be eligible for up to a $5,000 cash reward.
