HOUSTON – A Houston man accused of stealing his neighbor’s electricity has been sentenced to 60 days in jail.

Last week a Houston patrol officer was called to the 9000 block of Oak Knoll in northeast Houston for a disturbance call.   While he was there he noticed an unmetered box with a cable extending between two homes, investigators said.

Anttwon Polk and his female housemate were arrested the next day.   The amount of electricity stolen was not listed by the arresting officer.

Polk pleaded guilty to criminal mischief charges Tuesday morning.  The charges against his housemate were dismissed.
