HOUSTON – One man is in custody after three men were shot outside a southwest Houston sports bar early Sunday, police said.
According to the Houston Police Department, it happened at 2 a.m. at the Carrington’s Sports Bar located at South Main and the Buffalo Speedway.
Investigators said several men got into an argument inside the sports bar. Then the suspect left and went to his car.
As the group of men were leaving the bar, the suspect pulled a gun and opened fire, hitting three of the men.
One victim was shot in the groin, while another was shot in the abdomen, police said. Both were taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
The third shooting victim was hit in an unknown area and was taken to Ben Taub Hospital by private vehicle in stable condition.
Police said there were about eight Harris County Sheriff’s deputies working extra jobs for security for the bar. When they heard the shots, they ran over and were able to catch the suspect and took him into custody.
The deputies were also able to recover the gun.
