HOUSTON – A man found his brother dead Tuesday evening inside his apartment located in southeast Houston.
The discovery was made in the 7800 block of Detroit Street at the Gulf Freeway shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to officers with the Houston Police Department.
According to police, the man walked inside his 60-year-old brother’s apartment and found him tied up with an extension cord and wrapped in a blanket. The victim, who suffered from schizophrenia, was placed behind a large piece of furniture in the living room.
According to neighbors, the victim recently said he “ratted” on some drug dealers and was afraid they were coming after him.
Police said the victim had been letting another man, who was in his 30s, stay at the apartment with him. The roomate, who was recently released from jail, was not immediately located.
