HOUSTON – A 24-year-old man faces an intoxicated manslaughter charge after a four-vehicle accident left one woman dead early Sunday in southwest Houston, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, a Nissan Altima heading south on the Southwest Freeway feeder road ran a red light and crashed into two cars traveling west on Hillcroft Avenue at 2:55 a.m. A fourth car crashed into the back end of a Toyota that was first hit in the side.

Police said three people were transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

A female passenger in the back seat of a Toyota Camary that got hit twice, died at the scene, police said.

The impaired driver expected to be charged with intoxicated manslaughter.
