HOUSTON – A shooting victim was fighting for his life early Wednesday after being ambushed and robbed at a north Houston apartment complex, according to Houston police.
It happened at the Concord Apartments in the 300 block of Little York at the North Freeway around 1:15 a.m.
Police said three men were walking into their apartment when three armed suspects jumped out of an SUV and followed them inside. Three women were also inside the apartment, so the suspects held up all six people, robbing them of their money and other property.
When the suspects fled the scene, the men who were robbed began to follow them. That is when the suspects opened fire, shooting one of the men.
The victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.
The suspects remain on the loose.
