Man fatally shot in roadway
HOUSTON—Police arrested and charged a man with murder in connection with the shooting of a man in a quiet neighborhood on the eastern edge of The Heights, Houston police said.
Francisco Javier Rodriguez is accused of shooting 27-year-old Juan Antonio Lizama in the head after an argument.
Residents on Tabor at Pecore heard gunshots around 10:30 p.m. Monday and called 911, officers with the Houston Police Department said.
Police said Rodriguez fled from the scene in Lizama’s vehicle..
The vehicle was recovered early Tuesday morning and police said Rodriguez was taken into custody the same day without incident.
