HOUSTON—A man accused of abusing his grandmother was arrested for the second time after he allegedly attempted to set fire to her house, according to court documents.

It happened in the 3000 block of Houston Avenue.

John Castillo, 21, was taken into custody on Jan. 6 and charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit arson, violation of a protective order and criminal mischief.

He was previously arrested in 2008 for going after his grandmother on two separate occasions. He was sentenced to jail for one of the assaults and sentenced to three years adjudication for the other.  A court issued a protective order to keep Castillo away from his grandmother.

There was no word on a motive.

Castillo was being held with no bond.
