A College Station man was arrested Sunday night after police said he attacked a nurse at the College Station Medical Center.

Police said Robert Christopher Filloramo, 22, consumed wild mushrooms and was having an adverse reaction to them at an apartment located at 1201 Harvey Road.

Filloramo was taken to the College Station Medical Center for treatment.

During treatment, he allegedly punched a nurse in the face and tried to flee the emergency room.

Officers with College Station Police Department arrested Filloramo and charged him with assault on an emergency service personnel.

Assault on an Emergency Service Personnel is a third-degree felony punishable by confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for any term of not more than 10 years or less than two years and or a fine not to exceed $10,000.

The nurse sustained minor injuries.
