HOUSTON—League City police say they have identified a person of interest in a hit-and-run wreck that left a cyclist dead, the Galveston County Daily News reported.

On Thursday police released surveillance video hoping it would help them find leads.  Investigators said the 45-year-old man was riding his bike in the 1900 block of East Marina Bay Drive around 2:30 a.m. Thursday when he was hit by a car.

The victim was transported to Clear Lake Regional where he was later pronounced dead.

No charges had been filed.

Investigators said the woman in the surveillance video is believed to be the driver. The video shows the woman and another person pulling a damaged piece from the wheel well of the car. The vehicle appears to be a grey or silver four-door passenger car.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective John Griffith at 281-338-4167.
