LEAGUE CITY, Texas — Authorities were investigating a Wednesday afternoon credit union robbery, in which the armed suspect escaped on a bicycle.
League City police were called at 2:20 p.m. to Associated Credit Union of Texas, 351 S. Egret Bay Blvd., Kerri Cook, the department’s lead dispatcher said in statement.
No injuries were reported.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his early 20s. He appeared clean-shaven, Cook said.
The man displayed a handgun and was last seen riding a bicycle toward St. Christopher Avenue, Cook said.
The statement didn’t reveal whether the suspect obtained cash or how much.
Detectives were seen canvassing the neighborhood with the help of a tracking canine and officers with the Department of Public Safety.
The dog entered Huntcliff Apartment Homes, 2525 St. Christopher Ave., but no arrests were reported.
Cook asked anyone with information in the credit union robbery to call the League City Police Department at 281-332-2566.
