KATY, Texas -- A coffee shop in Katy is on a crusade to catch a criminal who may be responsible for a series of crimes in the area.

Cloud Café on South Mason Road was burglarized in the overnight hours last Thursday.

The crook and his partner and crime were caught on surveillance stealing about $600 from the register and a coffee scale.

Manager Danae Dehoyos believes the thief is the same guy who robbed Famous Footwear and three other businesses at gunpoint the following night.

“How could you do this to another human being,?” asked Danae Dehoyos. “I spend so much time and effort making this place as good as I possibly can, and somebody just comes in and takes everything worked hard for.”

Cloud Café has posted the surveillance video on its Facebook page. Since then, the tips have been pouring in.

“Somebody knew who he was and put it on there. Shortly after, he deleted his Facebook page,” said Dehoyos.

The Harris County Sherriff’s Office is now looking into that tip.

Loyal Cloud Café customers have their fingers crossed that this will put an end to the string of crimes.

“I really hope they’ll catch him because no one deserves this. It’s horrible,” said customer Holly Yewdall.

The coffee shop wrote to its fans on Facebook, “We want to give them more free stuff! Like a free car ride, free rent, and a free orange jumpsuit.”
