HOUSTON—Harris County deputies were investigating a fatal double shooting at a Houston-area hotel Thursday.
Precinct 4 deputies were called to the scene at America’s Best Value Inn & Suites in the 16400 block of the North Freeway around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on a report of shots fired.
When they arrived, they said they found a young man lying dead in a breezeway.
Homicide investigators later located the suspect at a nearby hospital.
They said he’d gone there with his cousin, who was injured in the shooting.
According to investigators, the suspect told them he, his cousin and the victim got into an argument at the hotel.
Investigators said the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim, but during the commotion, the cousin was also shot.
Investigators said they also interviewed several witnesses at the scene.
The identities of those involved were not released.
