HOUSTON –- A northeast Houston family hid in their home after three men with guns broke in overnight, police said.
Houston police said the break-in occurred around midnight Thursday at a home on Fitch Street near Lavender Street.
A man said he heard a noise in his home and saw three armed men making their way in. He ran back to his bedroom with his wife and 1-year-old baby and locked the door. The wife called 911 while the men were still in the home.
When police arrived, the men were already gone, but the crooks reportedly didn’t take anything from the home. Police said the group may have targeted the wrong home or were simply scared off.
No injuries were reported.
A description of the criminals was not released.
