HOUSTON – A man shot and killed his wife Saturday as she was working security at a warehouse in the 3100 block of Holcombe in south Houston.
Investigators with the Houston Police Department said Carl Jackson showed up around 4:30 p.m. at the Grocers Supply Warehouse where Helen Jackson worked as a contract security guard.
Witnesses said that the second the victim saw her husband, she tried to run away.
“She was checking another truck in here. As soon as she saw him, he started chasing her. As he chased her, he began firing a pistol at her,” said C. Abbondandolo with HPD.
The husband fired at least eight shots at the victim, who eventually collapsed and died in the parking lot.
“He continued to fire at her. He then ran back to the truck and then did a U-turn in the parking lot,” police said.
A short time later, Carl Jackson was found dead in a rural location on Trammel-Fresno Road in Fort Bend County, police said. He stores his truck at that storage area.
The shooting was caught on surveillance cameras at the warehouse.
