HOUSTON – A New Caney man was behind bars Wednesday, accused in a hit-and-run accident that killed a mother from Splendora.
Michael Ryan Button, 24, is charged with failure to stop and render aid.
According to Humble police, Button hit 31-year-old Jacquelyn Foreba as she was walking home on FM 1960 at 2 a.m. on June 16, 2012.
Investigators say Button didn’t stop to help her, and she died.
Froeba is the mother of a toddler.
Charges were filed on June 25, and Button was arrested.
Police said he’s confessed and was being held Wednesday without bond.
