HOUSTON – A new bee hive arrived at Haven Restaurant in Houston Wednesday morning, a few weeks after thieves made off with the original.

The old hive was stolen in early March by a group of thieves in a truck. The unusual hive heist took only a few minutes.

The stolen hive was full of honey and very heavy, so officials said it would take at least two people to load it into the truck. And because it was such an odd theft, investigators suspect the people responsible were familiar with handling live honeybees.

As of Wednesday, the bee bandits were still at large.

The new hive will be placed in the same area as the old one, albeit with a little extra security.
