HOUSTON – Officers with the Houston Police Department were called to the scene of a fatal double stabbing on the southeast side of town late Tuesday.
HPD said the stabbings were reported at a home on Beldart Street at Crosswell Street just before midnight.
Officers found two men in the home with stab wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was sent to the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators said the men were visiting with a third person at the home when an argument led to a fight. One of the guests pulled out a knife along with the homeowner, police said. The two men then stabbed each other.
The person who died was identified as a visitor to the home while the injured man was the homeowner.
Police said the third person involved in the fight may have been stabbed as well, but he left the scene before police arrived.
