HOUSTON – Homicide investigators are looking into the shooting death of a man at a Vietnamese restaurant Saturday afternoon in north Houston, deputies said.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said that at about 12:30 p.m. deputies were to dispatched to a restaurant located in the 11300 block of Veterans Memorial Drive.
When deputies arrived, they learned that two men had entered the restaurant earlier and sat down at a table. One of the men left to go the restroom.
When the suspect returned, he pulled a pistol on the other man and shot him once. The suspect fled the scene in a black SUV before deputies had arrived.
Witnesses described the suspect as a 30-year-old Asian male with a medium build. They said he was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and had tattoos on both of his arms.
EMS personnel confirmed that the victim had died at the scene, deputies said.
