HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for three suspects who fled the scene after a home invasion and shooting in the Montrose area late Saturday.
Investigators with HPD’s Robbery Division said a female suspect knocked on the door of a home near West Main and Woodhead around 9:30 p.m.
An 18-year-old female answered and the woman asked for someone in particular. When the teen told the female suspect that no one by that name lived there, the suspect shot the victim in the head, police said.
Two male suspects then came from around the corner and entered the home, police said. They saw a 20-year-old man coming down the stairs and opened fire on him.
The male victim was hit twice, once in the leg and in the thigh, police said. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. Both victims were transported to Memorial Hermann in serious but stable condition.
The mother of the male victim said he identified the three suspects when questioned at the hospital.
According to a neighbor, the male victim had just recently gotten out of the Texas Department of Corrections and may have been under probation and/or house monitoring.
Police have not released any information or descriptions of the suspects.
