HPD keeps eye on registered sex offenders this Halloween

HOUSTON—HPD is making sure kids will be safe from registered sex offenders on Halloween.

Officers are checking up on offenders to make sure they follow the rules.
Officials say sex offenders are not allowed to give out candy and turn their porch lights on. These individuals are also not allowed to answer their doors on Halloween except for law enforcement officers, and they’re also not allowed to put up Halloween decorations.
