HOUSTON—Four gunmen accused of murdering a father in front of his family Sunday may be linked to another shooting that happened less than two hours later, investigators said.

The crimes were just five miles apart.

Victor Quevado was fatally shot in a parking lot on Bissonnet as his wife and 13-year-old daughter watched helplessly. Police said the shooters escaped with two cell phones.

Then, a short time later, on White Cap, another victim said four men robbed him at gunpoint in his driveway. Solomon Ogunde said the theives got away with his cash and SUV but not before shooting him in the back.

“When I’m running away, immediately they see that I’m gone, they shoot, bam, my back,” he said.

Ogunde was treated at a hospital and released, but the bullet is still lodged in his back.  His SUV was recovered a short distance away.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
