HOUSTON – A Walmart shoplifting suspect has been charged with endangering a child after he allegedly took off running and left his child behind.
It happened Monday afternoon at the store located at 9555 South Post Oak Road.
Police said Christian Deon Brown, 18, of Houston, was trying to shoplift items and when he was caught he started running through the store pushing a stroller. He grabbed the baby out the stroller and continued running before passing the child to a stranger as he exited the store, police said.
Brown was captured a short time later in the 9800 block of Cliffwood Street, police said.
He has been charged with felony endangering a child.
The baby is now with the mother.
