HOUSTON—DNA evidence helped investigators bring charges against a suspect in a series of southwest Houston sex assaults, HPD said Monday.
Samuel Henderson, 46, is facing three counts of burglary with intent to commit sexual assault.
The incidents all occurred in 2009. The first occurred on June 6 in the 8300 block of El Mundo, the second on October 1 in the 1800 block of El Paseo and the third on October 16 in the 8100 block of Cambridge.
Police said in all three incidents, Henderson confronted female victims while they were alone in their homes.
Thanks to forensic evidence taken from the scene on El Paseo, police were able to enter DNA information into CODIS and match it to Henderson.
Police said Henderson was taken into custody without incident on March 5 and has since admitted to his involvement in all three crimes.
