HOUSTON -- Houston police say they found 300 pounds of marijuana at a body shop on the southeast side late Wednesday night, and three suspects were still on the run Thursday morning.

It started around 11 p.m. when they got a call about a disturbance at a business in the 1100 block of Hackney.

When two officers arrived at Fernando's Body Shop, they found five men out front.

The men spotted the officers and ran -- some through an open garage door, police said.

As officers chased the men, they said they smelled an odd odor coming from the garage. That scent turned out to be 300 pounds of marijuana.

The officers arrested two of the suspects at the scene, but the other three got away.

The pot, which was wrapped into large blocks, filled up the trunks of two police cruisers.
